This article explains how to promote a blog post that you have written to facebook with the goal of getting visits from facebook back to your post.
Step One Write The Blog Post.
Divide the blog post into 4 component parts: Title, an introduction, the main article, a photo and a call to action.
From the SEO (search engine optimization) point of view, the most important element on any page is the title. Not only are these letters the largest, they are actually informing google of the primary focus of the article as a whole.
Therefor it follows that the words used in the title are of great importance. We’ll talk more about SEO in other articles but for now let’s just add the title of the post.
Add a photo that is going to be the primary image of the post. Try to ensure that you don’t upload an image that is greater than 1500px wide which will mean that it will load quickly.
This is should be a paragraph that sums up what the intent of the article is. Ideally this should only be a few sentences long. However make sure that it’s snappy, upbeat and piques the reader’s interest.
Write away. Stay on task, the article should have one focus that is carried through from the Title, through the Introduction and into the article.
Call To Action
Every post should have offer a reason to contact you, an opportunity to explain your value and your eagerness to help.
Step 2 Promote The Blog Post With A Facebook Update
Sign into your facebook business page. Copy and paste the introduction from the blog post.
The Blog Post Link
The published blog post will have a dedicated link so that it can be found. The link will look something like https://www.mywebsite.com/news/title-of-blog-post
This is called the URL. Copy that full url from the published post and then paste it below the introduction you just added.
Facebook will usually be able to find and display that initial photo that you added to your blog post.
When you are happy with the post click Share Now to publish.
